Bugs under my skin, crazy itching?

Ok, so my aunt is itching really bad - indescribably bad. She says it feels like there are bugs that are under her skin, all over her head, that are biting her and leaving little marks. She has seen bugs in her bed, about the size and color of pepper. No doctor knows what's the matter.





Does anyone know? I feel really bad for her! Please help!

I would be interested in whether she has taken any thing for sinus, stuffy nose. Some over the counter decongestant. I once took a couple of these and in the next hour felt like I had flies crawling all over my legs and arms, I had a bad reaction to the over the counter pills. If this is not the case, take everything off the bed, mattress pad, sheets, pillow cases and wash them in hot sudsy water, this could also be scabies, and the hot water will kill them. If it is indeed scabies, she needs to get a prescription from her doctor for kwell and it should be spread all over her, from hair to feet, and then washed off the next morning. Nice of you to help her.


I remember that you had an itching head not too long ago, and you had some sores in your scalp. Could this be from the same thing?
Reply:well does she have cats or dogs in the house.....well it could be fleas....i had a dog sleep in my bed...i always was bit up by fleas ....until we defleaed him and the whole house.
Reply:It sounds like a myth, but there is such a critter as a bedbug.
Reply:Seriously, my first thought was that she was having DTs from alcohol withdrawal... but assuming that's not the case, I'd try fleas/licel and/bedbugs. Vacuum the mattress and everything else in the house. By the way, bugs can get under your skin. It's pretty rare and it doesn't sound related... but it's possible.
