Does anyone know if your skin itches when you are losing weight?

This may sound stupid, but I have lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks and wondering if my skin could be itching because of it. (I know a wound itches when it is healing)

Does anyone know if your skin itches when you are losing weight?
Never heard of that happening.
Reply:Umm,no.
Reply:I never heard that before.
Reply:I have not heard of that. By chance, are you taking any diet pills?
Reply:I don't think so. You may just have dry skin or be allergic to something. Sometimes your body reacts to change. Like when I started drinking alot of milk my nails had this tiny brown line on them.
Reply:Mine doesn't. Put on some lotion, why don't you.
Reply:I don't think so, remember this is winter and your skin could just be dry... Maybe your clothes are too loose and rubbing on your skin... check out other reasons.
Reply:Ive never heard that before but i can tell you that when you are working out %26amp; you are itchy, its from blood circulation %26amp; that you are out of shape
Reply:Put some cream on...because itching can cause stretch marks...So prevent it by putting iching oil or anyhing that can prevent stretch marks..
Reply:If you are indoors during cold weather, the heated air could be drying your skin and making you itch. Are you drinking enough water? Be sure and take in the proper amounts of the right fats, like avacado, walnuts and olive oil s for example. Sometimes a light diluted vinegar rinse, 1/2 cup to a quart of water will help to restore your skin's natural acid balance. Keep up the fresh fruits and vegatables, and go easy on the salt. Best wishes.
Reply:Actually, i've lost the same amount of weight in three weeks and im itching like crazy! I've never itched prior to my weight loss, its not the weather and definately not my diet. My boyfriend said the same thing was happening to him when he lost weight. Im also noticing im only itching wear i have a lot of fat;not all over. my BF said it will eventually go away, its like a phase of some sort.
