I have a case of mild hives. Is there anything I can do to stop itching and soothe skin with no medication?

I only have three spots with hives/ raised bumps: my left hand index finger, my left hand pinky knuckle, and the area near my elbow.

Any suggestions?

Since its only a few hives you could just ignore them. If they dont go away after a day take a benadryll. I know its medicine but it works wonders.

If you cant ignore them you could try soaking your hand in an oatmeal bath.....you can buy it at the drugstore I think aveno makes one. Since its only your hand and elbow you only need to fill a large bowl with water and add the oatmeal mix.....read the instructions on the package. This works for my hives but I take benadryll too.
Reply:If you don't have any anti-itch lotion then cold water and avoid touching the area if at all possible.
Reply:Benadryl
Reply:Cold water compresses and will help relieve itching. Calamine lotion can soothe the skin.
Reply:Hives is a skin allergic response to just about anything. It appears to be especially related to problems associated with the Gallbladder. Google hives +TCM or +alternative or +naturopath to be directed to very informative websites such as this one:

For the itching: Aloe vera gel. Calendula spray. Calamine lotion. Fluocinide (lidocaine). Sayman Salve (sulphur %26amp; petroleum jelly). Honey. Cool compresses of water or refrigerated tea made from red clover and peppermint feel really great.
Reply:Soak them in Aveeno water bath (oatmeal based), it will help sooth the itch.
