Anyone know what helps itching skin all over body to help stop itching have got piriton alergies?
Should be 48 hours latest. Try not showering or bathing for a few days; put aqueous creme over your body. It helps. you can buy it at boots the chemist and is very cheap but effective.

It really works believe me!

PS: Stay away from food with added food additives in they are lethal for people who suffer with skin allergies.

Good luck!
Reply:eucerin calming cream
Reply:they should work after two days.keep your skin cool and dry as wet and warm skin becomes itchy
Reply:don't know what those alergies are but i use oatmeal bath soak by aveno and it works make sure whatever you try is not gonna make things worse for you ask your doc. if he or she recomends anything for you
Reply:That's a very very very! good point
Reply:try calamine lotion
Reply:piriton should work instantly (well a few minutes), if you have an allergy to piriton (the brand name) itself which is actually Citirizine,(the active ingredient) you could try an Loratadine based antihistamine such as Claritin. you could also try bathing in something like Oilatum bath or maybe E45 bath to sooth your itching. also wearing natural fibres work and using non-biological washing powders.

here's some links explain the antihistamines

Reply:Oilatum in the bath, like someone else suggested and drink plenty of water. My hubby suffers from excema and his skin is ten times more itchy if he is dehydrated. A good emolient cream, such as diprobase, is effective. Personally I wouldn't recommend aqueous cream, other than to use as soap. It feels cold and wet to use and isn't as effective as other creams on the market.

Antihistamines, such as piriton, do work better on a build up basis, but if you have already been taking them for several days and they are not helping, then try another brand, or try and isolate what is causing your itchy skin - maybe it's your bedclothes. It could be the washing powder or dust mites, perhaps.

Try changing your bedclothes and washing in something mild like filetti, with no fabric softener, on a 60 degree wash. Get some new pillows or wash them if they can be washed, hoover your mattress thoroughly (and hoover it weekly as you change your bed linen). My hubby always finds he gets a really itchy back when he stays in a hotel (as he normally does not wear a top in bed) as they probably use biological washing powder for their bedding. Get yourself some cotton PJs and wash only in mild washing powder.
Reply:Well, I know how to get rid of the itching. Just put 1/2 a cup of vinegar into a bath of warm water and lay back and soak in it for 15 minutes. This will rebalance the ph level of your skin. What with all the chemicals and toxins they put in everything from soaps, perfumes, airfreshners, shampoos, etc.etc.etc. it gets pretty difficult sometimes. You should get relief from this. I'm sorry that I have no idea what piriton allergies are but this remedy I have given you works even on little babies, pure and natural, cheap, environmentally friendly !!!

PEACE %26amp; GOOD HEALTH TO YOU.

Reply:They are an excellent and potent over the counter anti-histamine, (chlorpheniramine). They should at least begin to work a few hours after the first tablet.

If you notice little improvement the possibilities are, that you are still in contact with the allergen (the thing that is causing the allergy is still there), or your allergy is so severe that anti-histamines are not powerful enough to deal with it, and you need or steroids, or the possibility exists that your self diagnosis is wrong.

All of these 3 possible causes would need you to see your GP for further advice.
