With crohn's disease can you have rashes and itching skin?
My daughter has Crohn's. Itchy skin can be caused by the disease, itself, or by the stretch marks that often result from the use of Prednisone. Oh, joy! Also, my daughter seems to get a rash under her eye or around her mouth, just before a flare. I wish you well. :-)
Reply:Crohns Disease is associated with the GI tract. It is an inflamation of any part of the GI tract( anywhere from the esophagus to the colon). I have studied the signs and syptoms but i havnt come across anything that has to do with skin problems. Doctors have not found the exact cause of Crohns disease but one thing they think that may lead to it is Allergies.
Reply:Yes, its very common to have these symptoms along with crohns disease. Sometimes it can be related to nutritional deficiencies, so take a natural multi vitamin of high quality to help.

I have crohns and have had some rashes and itching skin which get worse when my crohns is more active.
