How to cure my dry itching peeling skin on my face?

it start with itchiness right above my upper lip, after scratching it for a while it started to peel nonstop, then i got patches of dry peeling skin on my face, its comes and goes, i went to the doctor before and they gave me hydrochrodazone(sp) to use. while i'm using it, it will go away, but when i try to cut down or stop, it will come back. it has been almost two years. i'm currently not using any medication, just putting alot of lotion on my face. the lotion calms it, but doesn't make the problem go away.

can anyone tell me what is wrong? i drink alot of water during the day, and i'm eating healthy. is it something that i'm allergic to? or something i'm lacking in my diet?

thanks!

you're doing everything right... if the doctor gave you hydrocortisone cream that means it's not too too serious... you might want to try using cetaphil as the lotion you use on your face... it keeps your skin moisturized for a longer period of time... so you won't have to use it as frequently... another thing: don't scratch... instead of scratching, you might want to rub an ice cube over the itchy areas of your face... sometimes that cools it down so it's not itchy...
Reply:hydrocortisone cream
Reply:If your skin is a dry, and you are bothered by it, I suggest you try using Zenmed Sensitive Skin Care System from Zenmed or Autopalm from Skinstore.com

Another product that I think is effective is Autopalm. This
