How to stop anal itching and heal raw skin?

For the past 2 years, I've had itching inside my cheeks, around the anus and on my left labia majora. There are no warts, but from scratching for such a long time, the skin is pink and raw.

I've tried self medicating with peroxide, rubbing alcohol and witch hazel to subdue the itching as well as Neosporin to try and heal the damaged skin. I end up scratching again down there every day and I don't think I'm allergic to anything.

What may be causing this itching, and what is a better way to treat it? Should I go to the gyno and get a prescription strength cream? I have been tested for STDs this year and everything is ok.

Thank you for your help.

you should make another appointment with your doctor or gyno. Apart from that some people have to take worming tablets for threadworms.
Reply:HMmm first stop peroxide and alcohol immediatly those are tough chemicals for such a sensetive area. First you need to clean take a bath and soap in hot water for a good bit make sure you clean those ares really good with soap and water. Next when you dry it make sure you get all the water but dont rub with the towel just pat so you dont irritate your skin more. Next get vaseline use good bits if you have to put it all around and on every area that itches. After that get some powder and put it around the areas thats not vastelined as to absorb sweat. That should take care of your problem if its just irritation from digging into it. Also i cant stress this enough CLEAN VERY WELL and make sure you wear clean panties.

Try this and if its not better or at least a little better in a few days go to a doc it could be some other kind of problem. You dont have to have a std or a virus to have a infection or some kind of bacteria.
Reply:Yes you should see a doctor. You can't just treat it at home with alcohol. I wouldn't put it there anyway, but that's just me.

Have you changed laundry soaps in the past 2 years?

Have you changed soap you shower or bathe with?

Tests for STDs doesn't mean you won't get it later...it used to take like 10 years for AIDS to show up positive.

  1. Itching and pain be gone! I found a solution to Anal Itch in the Bathroom Bidet Sprayers they use in Thailand. Every doctor will tell you that you need to clean but the key is you need to do it without irritating the skin. Difficult to accomplish when you have an itch that is just begging to be scratched. But cleaning with a water spray does just that and it is easy, convenient and no one need know what you are using it for. Toilet paper irritates the skin and the more you rub, the more you itch. I bought mine at http://www.bathroomsprayers.com and installed it myself. Check out; http://www.bathroomsprayers.com/info/mypage.php?page=20
