How to cure skin allergy (itching) through home remedies? My friend is suffering from it and needs help?

Some years ago, I had a terrible rash, and was taken to a Dermatologist by a friend. It turned out to be Prickly Heat (at that time I didn't know what it was). The Dermatologist gave me a prescription so I tottered off to the Pharmacy and was given ... a box of Chamomile tea bags !!!!!

Undettered I did as instructed and made a strong tea from the Chamomile, let it get cold and applied it to the affected areas with cotton wool.

Absolute bliss !!!! It completely calmed the rash down and within 2 days it was gone.

I now recommend Chamomile to all my friends for any rash. If it is something absolutely terrible, Chamomile won't hurt it and for most general skin allergies it works.

Hope this helps.

It depends on what is causing the allergy. Also, if you are sure it is an allergy- some rashes can be something other than allergice reaction. A trip to the drug store, consulting with a pharmacist, would be a good idea. They can recommend allergy medications that will be safe. Not all home remedies take care of rashes- but maybe if you tell the pharmacist you would rather not use medication, they could recommend some aloe based lotions or sometihng else.

Reply:If you have Benadryl in your medicine cabinet, it works pretty good, also hydrocortisone creams. Oatmeal baths offer some relief also.

Reply:If it's really an allergy, an over the counter allergy medicine, like Benadryl should clear it up. If it's a heat rash, keeping the area clean and dry (baby powder helps) is all that is needed.
