I had a positive TB skin test today and the doctor asked me to go for a chest X ray. I have swelling and itching on the skin where I had the test. I forgot to ask the doctor as how long will it take for the itching and swelling to go..
How many days/hours it take for the itching and swelling to go after a positive TB skin test??
This usally subsides in 24-48 hours. It it gets really irritating try some calmine on the area or an over the counter topical cream.
PS: I always test positive on the skin test but always have a negative chest X-ray.
